The Riches of Oseola McCarty

Now that I have read Evelyn Coleman's little book about Oseola McCarty I am even more inspired! This is a book about a hardworking, loyal, uncomplaining girl. She loves the Lord and lives her life serving others.

I highly recommend this book. It is inspiring and encouraging.

There's a lot of talk about self-esteem these days. It seems pretty basic to me. If you want to feel proud of yourself, you've got to do things you can be proud of. Feelings follow actions.
-Oseola Mc Carty

A little bit about simplicity from another favorite author.

The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.
~Robert Louis Stevenson

Oseola must have learned by example. Her grandmother and aunt must have shown her the way to contentment.

We teach so much by our lives.

Encourage one another,
Donna
