Friday Feast

Appetizer - What is the worst movie you've ever seen?

Soup - Name something that reminds you of your childhood.

Salad - If you had to live in a large city, which one would you want it to be?

Main Course - What's a "big word" you like to use to impress people?

Dessert - Describe your hairstyle.

I love to think of my childhood. I really do.
Reminiscing is one of my favorite things :o)

Last night the big kids and I watched a small fireworks display at the end of a road at the top of a little hill. We took a blanket and bug spray along.
We watched the fireworks and talked of other nights with fireworks displays.

We talked and giggled and drove home with a new memory under our belts.

I remember going to the fireworks with our relatives in Mt. Prospect Illinois.
There was a Ferris wheel and a small carnival on one end of a huge field and the fireworks shooting off in the other direction. As we sat watching the fireworks, Cindy laid on her tummy looking behind us at the lighted Ferris wheel. The whole time. She was mesmerized. (That word is a family joke...we teased our mother terribly for using the word mesmerized.)

As we piled in the station wagons after the fireworks, we were stuck in one of those terrible traffic jams. Our father and his brothers, Mel and Don, got out of the cars and started directing traffic!

They were so funny! I can almost hear my mother giggling and saying, 'Oh, Jim!'

Have a great weekend and make some new memories...ones that will make you all smile in 30 years :o)
