Dog Quotes

We long for an affection altogether ignorant of our faults. Heaven has accorded this to us in the uncritical canine attachment. ~George Eliot

Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear. ~Dave Barry

You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us. ~Robert Louis Stevenson

I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult. ~Rita Rudner

American Idol

So-long Brandon.

Cute face.
Not enough charisma and umph.

Gracious in the face of defeat.

Dial Idol

There is a website called Dial Idol and they guesstimate who will be kicked off by counting busy signals.

Well. They were very off last night.
They had Sanjaya (safe from the bottom three) in third place and Stephanie in last.

Very off.

Grey's Anatomy

New episode tonight.
Are you losing interest with the long breaks in between shows?

This is why I am not totally ashamed to tell you about my television watching...

Moss grid hand towels made of linen.

Lynn says it's like knitting with dental floss.
She is absolutely right.

Ann and Kay say that the magic is in the washing and drying of the linen.

It will soften up and be loverly.

I hope to complete this hand towel.
Wash it and dry it by tomorrow so you can see (and I can see) how it all turns out.

Knitting without a net on this one.

"We'd like to do an Outward Bound-style exercise in which we all knit with stiff linen yarn, wash it, and see how drapey it turns, and start crying because we all trusted the yarn."
~Mason-Dixon Knitting

I am going to have to scout around Ann and Kay's website to see if I put this towel in the dryer.

It must.

(You may notice, I am on a first name basis with Ann and Kay. Funny thing...they don't know it :o)

Here is another thoughtful thought they had about linen.

"Remember:Linen is the yarn of the gods-the gods who know that even if a yarn is a little starchy to knit, it's worth it because it will soften, relax, and last through the apocalypse."
~Mason-Dixon Knitting

Wishing you all a great day!

Encourage one another,
Donna
