Wisconsin summer


When I remember the summers of my childhood,

i remember a wagon full of caterpillars...the good humor man...chasing the bug spray truck...the huge cloud of smoke...i remember jays potato chips...kool aid...A&W rootbeer....swimming...diving...cheering...camp...watching tv in a cold dark room...big sandwiches...pickles...playing games...inside and outside...dismembering daddy long legs...trail rides in hayward...horse flies...fishing...guts...scales...rocks...snakes...swimming...thunderstorms...bunk beds...cast iron skillets...chipmunks...ping pong...brown grass....roses...tomatoes...bike rides....pop corn...ice cream...ants...pulling weeds...mom....dad...golfing...country club buffets...tennis...sweat...baby pools...popsicles...neighborhoods....kids...fireflies...mosquitoes...a tent...sleeping outside...sandboxes...swings...chalk...bikes...dirty legs...bruises...fireworks...concerts...
movies...chicken pox...long drives...car sickness....and the bright, bright sun.
