I love music and miss Sue.

In 2007 I turned 50.  My sister Nancy (in black) picked me up and we drove down to Missouri where Sue and Cindy lived.  We had the BEST time; Pedicures, a facial, a visit to a vineyard, shopping in a quaint old town and lots of talking and laughing.  What a treat!!

I"m so happy and thankful that we took the time and fit this trip into our lives.

Today is the fourth anniversary of Sue's passing.

I love you to pieces Suzy Q.

Love you.

We all love music in our family.
Jimmy is a rocker, Nancy is Motown, Susie was Barbra Streisand and Willie Nelson,  Cindy is Michael Jackson and Dean Martin, Janet is dance music and Janice is alternative.

Me.  I'm all of it.

Here is why I am so excited about Idol this year....

I never like songs the first time I hear them...but I enjoy everything this kid does!!!

Two girls are left on the show.  Jessica is my favorite...by far.
She is a soild, great singer.

Keith Urban did not like the arrangement.  Harry did.  I love her voice.  How about that makeup?

And that is why I am watching and enjoying American Idol.

(Besides the cute judges.  "Cute, definitely cute.")

Name that movie folks..............     ^^^^^    I will be shocked it someone comes up with it!!!

Love you.
Mean it.

What happens matters.

Donna

Did you say one time on here that Sue had an owl on her deck? And you all would say, "Who cooks for you?" I remembered that and taught my daughter to say that when we hear an owl. We just heard one Sunday night and my daughter says,"Whohoo, whohoo, who cooks for you?". I thought of you and your sister, Sue. True, I really did.
I hope I don't sound like a creep by remembering this story and sharing this with you. : )

Praying that you and your dear family find comfort and hopefully peace in Sue's memories.

    love,

I never knew my sister since she died at two days old and I still miss her...what might have been. I just read an article about grief that said there is no time limit on grief on missing another.

Is it just me or does the female singer look a bit like your sweet Melinda? Music is another word for joy...in our house when we hear a new song, sometimes my husband will say, "It has a good beat!" and I will say, "You could dance to it." American Bandstand

  9. I only have one sister (two brothers as well). She's my best friend. She lives far far away as a missionary, which means I don't get to see her very often. She is going through a little bit of a health scare at the moment and will be anxiously awaiting test results that won't come back until Monday. Would the QLCS be so kind as to say a prayer for her this weekend? Her name is Becky.

(My American Idol votes all go to Caleb ;))

  10. Such a tough anniversary for you all. What great memories you have to cherish. Praying for you.

I was shocked Jessica was in the bottom 2 this week. I'm glad she gets another chance. (I think I've mentioned I like Caleb. He reminds me of the first rocker, Bo Bice. Of course, Carrie Underwood won that year.)

I have faith in God for many reasons, but one particular reason is that he gives us the ability to reflect and recall wonderful times in our lives... I have a milestone birthday next year, and you inspire me to make great memories and do something special.

Praying your memories of Susie bring tears of joy for her life and your friendship.......

    1. Thank you Mary. I always admire the people who are able to get together regularly...reunions...we are not good about it. Having the seven of us spread out across the states makes it so hard. The last time we were all together was for Wesley and Steph's wedding in 2009. Then Sue died in 2010. How thankful we are that that worked out....I do cherish my beautiful memories. They bring me so much joy.
