Pretty Milwaukee Night

Pretty Milwaukee night.

Some things are just so much prettier at night.

Nothing like a nighttime stroll to give you ideas.

So dear night the half of life is,
And the fairest half indeed.

His burning bosom buttoned it with stars.

Just catching up on the last few days of posts as we were off on a little summer trip to Michigan. Great pictures of beach volleyball! So glad Katie enjoyed it. Molly played the last few summers at North Ave Beach in Chicago. I loved those tournaments -- sitting by the water, reading between matches....pure bliss. Moll also loved that they got so many touches on the ball playing beach -- it was her favorite. I had to register the girls the first time they played several summers ago and was not prepared when the form asked for a team name. I put down the M&Ms (Molly and Mary), so I had to smile about the Gingers. :)

Good luck to Katie for high school try outs! It's so wonderful she has something she loves to do.

P.S. We just watched Goblet of Fire last night while doing mounds of vacation laundry, so seeing the Mad-Eye Moody quote was fun.

    Hi Mary, Hi Donna!

You know I'm always tickled by a HP quote :-)

this is a lovely night scene. There's nothing like a pleasant star-lit summer evening.

" ... the moon and stars to rule the night,
    God's love endures forever ..." Psalm 136

  3. So pleased to see you enjoyed your time in Milwaukee (my home city)! I hope you had a chance to eat a brat or two (or even three, they are SO good). I grew up going to Bradford Beach with my friends, thanks for making me smile at the memories!
