december is here. already

“Is it snowing where you are? All the world that I see from my tower is draped in white and the flakes are coming down as big as pop-corns."  ~Jean Webster, Daddy Long Legs

Same trees...different year.

If you live in up north.
This.  You know.

December has come.
Why is it so surprising?  You'd think I'd get use to the months whizzing by.
But I don't.

Happy Wednesday!
I'm wishing you well and sending love.
Donna

UPDATE

Tawnya sent this to me.

  1. Have you been to a J Jill to see your photo up in the store yet? The trees photo reminded me of it. Be sure to go and take your picture with it in the store!! :)

    1. I've seen an image of it...It is so cropped and edited I would never know it was mine.Same with the little bit on the website. So weird. But I am grateful that the company has integrity. They rock for paying me for it.

  2. Yes, I agree with Amanda. I am eager to see you in front of your beautiful trees!

Did you know that for many, many years Daddy Long Legs was my favorite book?

    1. This is not the famous one :o) This is from last winter. The famous one is from 2011.
Those are famous trees and I take their picture a lot because I don't have to leave my warm house!!! :op

    2. I love these trees, famous photo or not :-) they speak peace to me, something we all need more of, I'm thinkin'. Maybe that's why JJill chose that image for their holiday season - to spread some peace. (Hugs) from Alaska :-)

    3. They're all famous if taken by Miz Boo, no? Love the dance scene from the movie, too!

  4. I get excited when I see those trees (or snow) from your photo.

Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron dancing is the reason that movie is one of my favorites. I read the book before ever seeing the movie. The dancing saved it for me. ;)

    1. I learned about that yarn from you...so long ago! When you wear socks and boots, your socks slide down and off your heel. It's a winter rite of passage :)

  6. Nothing is harder then getting soggy socks off cold feet! The snow and cold finally hit here in Wyoming. With five kids I always say they have to stay outside at least as long as it took me to get them bundled up...I've been bribing them with hot cocoa to stay out longer ;) Hope someone is making hot cocoa for you!

    Your trees are famous!
I still think they would make a great Christmas card. It could be a musical one and when you open it up it could play, "It's a Marshmallow World"....I would buy it, especially if it had your logo on the back. ;-)
    love and prayers, jep
